Dawn of Civilization
Uruk was founded by the Lugal Enmerkar. Their are massive fields outside the city, and Uruk produces the largest surplus of grain in the Mesopotamian valley. The city was originally dedicated to Anu, the Heavens, but later the goddess Inanna became their patron. The House of Heaven serves as both a temple and an office of state, and its priestesses run many facets of the city.
The city features an extensive system of canals. This canal system flowed throughout the city connecting it with the maritime trade on the ancient Euphrates River as well as the surrounding agricultural belt.
Because of its large size and geographic location, a number of supernatural forces prey upon its people. In response to this, a clan of gangrel Rephaim known as the Nightwatch stalk the streets at night to protect them.
